La Rioja

     In a valley of the Rioja Alta, land of wine and good food, there are 3 towns; Estollo, San Millán and Berceo. It owes its name to the Saint, who spent 40 years as a hermit in a cave.

     The monasteries of Suso and Yuso, Cradle of the Language, were also built for him, where the first words written in Basque and Spanish were found. A treasure trove for photographers.
